It’s The End of the World… And my series aren’t done

So they say that that end of the world is supposed to be coming soon? I really hope the so called experts are wrong because there are a lot of movies scheduled for 2013 and 14 that I want to watch my book series aren’t finished yet. Janet Evonavich hasn’t written my happily ever after of Stephanie living happily with both Ranger and Joe… Come one tell me you aren’t hoping for the same thing. Anita Blake still hasn’t gotten it all figured out. Merry Gentry hasn’t had her babies yet. The Brac Pack, Christians Coven, Zeues’ Pack are LONG way from being over with. The Marius Brothers World has added lots of sexy new men to the family that need their mates. There is a Fairly Gay Father out that has a story to tell and I want to hear it. There is a lot of acreage left in Cattle Valley and Nate needs new citizens. There is still are still 16 letters left in the alphabet left before the entire Moon Pack gets their happily ever after. And I am nowhere near caught up with the Lost Shifters series…

The world can’t end until all of my series’ are finished, not to mention Kansas City May 2013 I get to meet most of my IH girls and I’d be really peeved if the world ended before I got to meet them.

But if the world were to end on 21st I’d grab a good book curl up in my chair and read until it was all over with I can’t think of a better way to go… Can you?

This brings me to my guest today Stormy Glenn… Let’s face it she is juggling so many worlds that have yet to write their final ending and I want to chain her to the computer just so I can get my next fix, and yes it is a drug, my month isn’t happy without getting at least one or two new books from her. I asked Stormy what was on her bucket list…

I want to visit Germany. I have a picture of my husband when he was 4 yrs old standing in front of the Neuenstein Castle want to get another one. I have a frame for it that says “then and now”.

julianshappy3Julian’s Happy Place: Aberdeen Pack Book 2

Djal was just trying to do his duty as beta of his pack when he made one small mistake and now he has a pack member chasing after him, intent on mating him. If Djal doesn’t figure out how to stop Julian’s obsession with him, he just might strangle the man.

Julian has lived through hell, more so than most people know. When freedom comes, Julian is still faced with people out to harm him. The mere sight of the big strong beta makes Julian feel safer. One night spent together convinces Julian that Djal would be the perfect mate. He just has to catch Djal first.

When Djal discovers that someone is abusing Julian, the protective streak he tried so hard to control breaks free. It goes way beyond what Djal knows he should feel for a mere pack member and only by giving in to Julian can Djal come to terms with the need growing inside of him. But before Djal can save Julian, he has to figure out who is after him, and Julian isn’t talking.

Excerpt:

Djal slipped around the side of the house then pressed his large body back against the wooden building. He closed his eyes and prayed when he heard the quick patter of feet running past his hiding position. He opened his eyes and held his breath as he watched Julian hurry past him as if he was invisible.

And he wished he was.

This thing with Julian was really getting out of hand. If the man wasn’t trying to chase Djal down, he was staring mooneyes at him. Djal had barely had a minute to himself in two weeks. If something didn’t change soon, Djal was going to strangle the little guy.

It wasn’t that he didn’t like Julian, because he did. Julian was cute, and he made Djal laugh. But every time Julian looked at him, he had daydreams in his eyes, and that just wasn’t who Djal was. He didn’t sleep with every Tom, Dick, and Harry that came around but he liked keeping his options open.

Julian wanted commitment. He wanted a mate and he wanted Djal to be that mate. Everyone knew it. Djal felt like he had become the butt of everyone’s laughter over the last two weeks. And just because he had tried to comfort the guy after he had been kidnapped and attacked by his ex.

Djal knew he made a mistake when he offered comfort to the man. He knew it when he did it. It should have simply been the beta of the pack–Djal–comforting a pack member–Julian–as was his duty.

It had turned into far more and now Djal was paying the price. It had gotten to the point where Djal was avoiding pack gatherings just so that he wouldn’t run into Julian. The guy was sweet, maybe too sweet. There was a gentle nature about Julian that called to every protective instinct Djal had and maybe a few he didn’t even know he had.

Djal wanted to wrap Julian up in bubble wrap so the world couldn’t hurt him. And that was dangerous–to Djal, to Julian, and to the pack. Djal had no doubt that if he gave into the crawling need that ate away at him every time he smelled Julian’s alluring scent, he would forsake everything in order to keep Julia safe, even his duty to his alpha and their pack.

And in all of the years that he knew Iben Khenti, Djal had never let the man down. He wasn’t about to start now, and that meant staying as far away from his cute little pack mate as he possibly could–no matter how much he wanted to taste Julian’s sweetness again.

When the sounds of Julian’s footsteps faded, Djal blew out a frustrated breath and pushed himself away from the side of the house. He cast a quick glance down the path Julian had taken and then hurried it into the alpha house.

Djal wanted to sink into a hole the moment he closed the door and realized that Iben and his mate Zack were in the great room, staring right at him with a good deal of amusement on their faces.

“Problems, Djal?” Iben’s eyebrow quirked as the man asked a question he already knew the answer to.

Djal curled back his upper lip as he growled at his alpha. He was probably one of the few people in the world that could get away with such an action without losing his head. Iben had befriended Djal and his siblings, Sissy and Rory, when they were toddlers. They had stood side by side in support of the man ever since.

“I swear to god, Iben,” Djal grumbled as he pushed a hand through his long hair in frustration and stalked into the great room, “if something isn’t done about Julian pretty soon, I’m going to flip the hell out.”

Iben laughed. “He likes you.”

“He’s obsessed!” What part of that didn’t Iben get? Taking a deep, unsteady breath, he stepped back from his alpha and lowered his tone. Iben would have his butt in a sling if he was disrespectful. “He won’t leave me alone, Iben. He follows me everywhere. I can’t get a moment alone.”

“Would it be so bad to be with Julian? He’s actually a pretty great guy.”

Djal’s eyes snapped to Zackary Evans, the mate to Alpha Ibenré Khenti. Zack was crazy about Iben, and protective as hell. He saw his duty to the alpha to keep him safe and happy. He would never understand the need Djal had to keep all of his pack safe. It was ingrained in him, part of his very DNA. He could no more deny his need than he could deny his pack or an order from his alpha.

“My duty is to Iben and this pack,” Djal replied. “I don’t have time for a mate.”

“Maybe you should have thought of that before you slept with Julian.”

Djal’s eyes narrowed. While he hadn’t come right and said he slept with Julian, pretty much everyone knew he had. Djal wasn’t proud of that fact simply because he had been trying to comfort the guy, not fuck him into the mattress.

But one thing had let to another and things happened.

“It was a onetime thing,” Djal insisted.

“Does Julian know?” Zack asked.

“I told him.” And he still felt the weight of his guilt at the tears that had sprung to Julian’s eyes when he did. But, no matter how he felt, Djal couldn’t back down. He couldn’t, and wouldn’t, be the mate that Julian was dreaming of.

There was just no way.

  1. Dawna Newman Says:

There are so many but my main one is Styxx’s book in the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The world can’t end on the 21st I agree there are way too many series I have to know what’s going to happen next.

  2. One?? Hmm… see, I’m not sure I can decide. I need all of Jayne’s Hot Rods, Mari’s Second Chances and Cocktales, their Compass Girls; Mari and Lexxie’s Misplaced; Lexxie’s Dark and Savage stories…; Lila’s new one; Jambi’s got some, Bianca, Sami, and I am sure Jess has got some in the works. So well, they’d better get writing and the world had better keep on spinning until they’re done. That’s all there is to it!

  3. That is a very hard question to answer, but if I am to be honest… I would choose the one historical romance I still own. It’s my go to book when I’m depressed or sad. A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught.
    Thanks,

  4. Mary Preston Says:

I would want the series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE by George RR Martin. Just brilliant.

  5. I need to know all about Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changelings and Lora Leigh’s Breeds. The world can’t end until I know what is wrong with Amber and how to fix her. Also, I have to know who is Cassie’s mate.

  6. I can’t choose just one. I want Jayne’s Hot Rods & Men in Blue, Jayne’s & Mari’s Compass Girls, Mari’s Cocktales & Second Chances, & Mari’s & Lexxie’s Foreign Affairs.

  7. I’d want to have Laurann Dohner’s New Species series completed. There are TOO many of her characters still without mates – Destiny, Moon, Brass, Breeze…the list goes on!

  8. I read so many books and so many series…….Lorelei James’s Rough Riders and Cherise Sinclair’s Shadowlands are the two that immediately came to mind but I know there are so many more that I just have to read.

  9. itmfiddler Says:

The last book in the Robert Jordan WOT series, damn it. I have been waiting since 1990 for it and if the world ends before it is published, I am going to be royally pissed. LOL

  10. Oh, there are so many of them so the world better not be ending LOL. Just finished reading Fix You by Mari so I gotta have the other books in the Second Chances series. 11. Well, the 21st is my Mother’s birthday so she was taking it personally that the Mayans had decided the Earth would end on her birthday. We had planned to all met at her house but we have lost quite a few family members this year…so we are making sure to talk to her on the phone during the day. I would like for Stormy to finish all her series that have not ended. I would like for Joyee Flynn to also finish her Marius brothers series. I would like to add in JL Langley’s With/Without series also. Shelley Laurenston to finish her werewolf series would be great also.

  12. I would want Sean Michael’s Velvet Glove series. That is one hot, hot m/m series!

  13. i have so many series that i follow that there’s NEVER enuff time to finish them

  14. That is an unfair question! There are far too many to list. I want Kelly’s story from RG Alexander, the rest of the Second Chances from Mari Carr. I’m still holding out hope that Kitty (the mistress in training) will get her own book in the Men In Blue series from Jayne Rylon. There are really too many others to name. I am a series whore so I have a ton that I read. lol

    KittyKelly

  15. I would like to have the whole series of Laurann Dohner’s New Species. I love this series and can’t get enough of it. I’m waiting for the next one to come out. She had a new release in it a bit ago and I still want to read a new one. lol

  16. Hands down…I would have to have Megan Derr’s The Lost Gods series…I just finished the second book and OMG! The series is amazing!

  17. I would like Stormy Glenn latest series release, or Megan Derr Dance Series..

  18. Hmmm… A Fairy what? No idea what you could be talking about. heehee. And you know…it comes out…BEFORE the world ends…just sayin’. TOMORROW! So plenty of time to get it and read it…:)

  19. I so agree that Stephaine Plum should just shack up with the two of them!! lol I would love to have the Plum series and The Sookie Stackhouse series. Also anything by Eve Langlais… ohhh and the new compass girl series of Mari & Jayne’s plus Jayne’s Men in Blue…. maybe even the Lorelei James rough rider series! lol I love series!

  20. Oh there are so darn many!! But the main one is the Fallen series by Cynthia Eden and the Jaine Austen series by Laura Levine!

  21. There are so many, but one that I’d grab is the Chesapeake Bay Series by Nora Roberts.

  22. Rhonda Wolf Says:

There’s too many to name – I need more of Jambrea and all the IH ladies, SJ Frost’s rockers and vampires, morel of Stormy, Lorelei James, TA Chase, Jet Mykles, JL Langley…

  23. I would have to say PJ’s book from Maya Banks or Styxx from Kenyon, too many to say. Also Lynn Hagen’s MELONEE BRAC’S MISTLETOE MADNESS. Too many to choose

  24. Hard question. I have so many favorites. If i had to pick, id pick Diana Pamlers books. There so good!

  25. Definitely Jayne Rylon’s Hot Rods series.I can’t wait for that series.

  26. I would want Jordan Price’s PsyCop series to “end” (ha) with ten or twelve final books! Then a series sequel of eight or nine more books.

  27. I would say The Seventh of London by Beau Schemery, and Brute by Kim Fielding to name a couple of books.

  28. The last book of the DN Simmons’ KOTDC series. There are many more but I am having a brain hiccup!

  29. Christine Eagles Says:

I really hope it doesn’t end. I’m far from being done living and reading.

I need to get back and catch up on my Stephanie Plum series. I’m still torn between Ranger and Joe. I don’t really see her men sharing her!

Here’s to the continuation of the world as we know it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  33. i’ve been wanting to read Larissa Ione’s LOD series and JR Ward’s BDB series. I don’t have any books in either series, so I need to win them pretty soon. 🙂
    Merry Christmas

  34. Susan Romito Says:

Nalini Singh Psy/Changeling series, Cherise Sinclair’s Shadowlands series, and I definitely need Jayne’s Hot Rods series. Also, I need Cassie’s book from Lora Leigh’s Breeds.

  35. I want the last Sinners on Tour book, Eric Stick’s story-read the others, but it isn’t complete without the drummer’s tale, you know? Also Styxx’s story from Kenyon, and Will’s story from Shiloh Walker’s Grimm’s Circle. Of course, the Compass girls too. And….

  36. Lover at Last by J.R. Ward! Have to have it if the world is ending.

  37. I figured maybe I should answer my own question 😉 LOL

I’m going for three I want the Stormy’s Wolf Pack series and the Tri-Omega series to be done and in my hands to read.

And for The Dark Hunter series as well – I can’t wait for Styxx’s story I didn’t like him in the beginning but when he went down to Kalosis (sp??) to get Ash’s woman back he was my hero 🙂

  38. Michelle (MiMi) Says:

It’s a very hard choice…so I can only go with the first to come to mind I guess. The Nalini Singh Archangel series is on my mind this week.
    Thank you, chellebee66(at)gmail(dot)com

  39. Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter

  40. Paula Hadgraft Says:

That’s a hard decision, LOL. I have three though and I can’t choose between them. So, I would say the next Tri-Omega books by Stormy Glenn, the next Moonlight Breed books by Gabrielle Evans, the next Deadzone books by Jana Downs. Any of them would totally make me happy. 🙂

  44. Courtney S Says:

The series that I would want to end before the end of the world are:
    Tri-omega Mates
    Marius Brothers
    Moonlight Breed
    Midnight Matings
    Warder series by Mary Calmes
    Mate or Meal series

  45. sally halliday Says:

So many books it would have to be ava march and stormy of course

  46. Oh man I would want Patricia Briggs Omega and Mercy Thompson series. I have so many series I would love more of right now. lol

  47. There are just too many authors and stories to just pick one. Plus all the ones that are still trapped inside the authors heads just waiting to fight their way to the front and demand to be written. I love Stormy Glenn’s books and all my other authors. Imagination is grand.
