A Thanksgiving Adventure

To those of you in the US, Happy Thanksgiving. To those of you in other parts of the world, Happy Thursday.

Yesterday we had the dubious pleasure of traveling with our kitty on the busiest travel day of the year. For a little kitty she acquitted herself very well. The biggest problem was that she was hungry. We fed her a big dinner Tuesday night, and a little bit of breakfast very early, but we got on a bus to the airport at 9:30, and she didn’t have anything to eat or drink until we got to my parents house at 3pm. When we were waiting for my brother to pick us up someone sat down next to us with a chicken Casesar salad.

Our kitty wanted that salad. We had to snatch her carrier back as she was throwing herself against the side and growling at the salad man. He looked so alarmed I thought he’d offer her some chicken.

We have a bully cat.

In other news, because I can’t just keep anything simple, instead of making several large pies we made mini pies, using a pie maker. Four at a time I made over 30 pies: pumpkin, pecan and chocolate cheesecake.

Happy Turkey Day!
