Taking the plunge into self publishing

I’ve done it!

I’ve taken the plunge.

I have officially become one of the many self published authors out there, and I’m stoked.

So, wanna know about the book I’ve self published?

Visiting Paradise is a short story (about 16 000 words) that has been previously published. As soon as I received the rights back, I knew I wouldn’t be sending it to another publisher. This one went straight to Amazon.

Know what has me so excited? The price! It costs 99c. C’mon, admit it. Any book that costs less than a dollar is something to get excited about.

Nice cover, huh? 😀

Ms Valerie Tibbs designed it for me, and I love it to bits.

Beth Brown needs a holiday. She’s burnt out, single and madly in love with the man who pays her salary, Joe Bastion. Much as she’d like to act on her feelings, Beth’s learned the hard way not to sleep with the men she works for.  As far as she is concerned, Joe is off limits.

Sometimes, to get what you want, you have to chase hard. And  Joe wants Beth  He’s organized the trip of a lifetime for her. Beth’s about to set sail into paradise, and she has no idea Joe’s the one who’ll be taking her there.

Product warning: This book is filled with sunny blue skies, gorgeous tropical islands and a whole lot of scorching hot loving.

For now, the book is only available on Kindle. I apologize to Nook and other readers, but as I said, the whole self publishing process is new to me, and I’m taking it one step at a time.  Maybe one day I’ll publish it to other sites.

In the meantime, why not visit Kindle and, oh I dunno, maybe…BUY THE BOOK?

You can find it by clicking here.

Happy reading.

  1. Hi Jess
Just bought it!! Are you sure it’s worth only 99 cents. It’s got your name on it!! lol

  2. And BTW – you’ll do great at the self-pub thing. Congrats!

  3. Aw, Mary.
There you go again. Making me feel like a million bucks!

    *Big squeezy hugs*

Oh, and I hope you’re enjoying the tennis.

  4. Need a towel, you’re all wet! Great job!

  5. Well you are worth a lot but I’m not putting a number on it. Re: the tennis. Maybe we shouldn’t talk about it till Sunday lol. Our Canadian player Raonic is playing your Aussie Lleyton Hewitt (who I usually root for) so I’m hoping Raonic kicks butt. But I’ll still talk to you lol. ((hugs))

    • I confess, I support EVERYTHING Aussie – except Lleyton Hewitt.
Until that man learns good sportsmanship I just cannot find it in my heart to support him.

      • Well yeah – usually or used to. He is fun to watch but lost a lot if fans. So you can use your vibes for my guy then!!

  6. Mary Preston Says:

    Go the Aussies!!

  7. Woot, JESS!!! You go! This sounds like a yummy diversion from the cold 😉

  8. Just picked it up–looking forward to warming up 🙂
