New Year’s Resolutions: Jess

Posted in Jess Dee on December 31, 2011 by Jess Dee

Forgive me for laughing at the idea of new year resolutions, but honestly? I suck at them. And for that reason alone, I never make any.

Well, apart from the usual ones like: I will go on diet, I will lose weight and I will be thin. But then those are hardly new year resolutions, those are more like new day resolutions and they usually don’t last longer than breakfast.

;)

So instead, let me take this blogging opportunity to wish you a wonderful, healthy and happy new year. May all your dreams come true.

In 2012 I Will…

Posted in Lexxie Couper with tags on December 31, 2011 by Lexxie Couper

So, New Year’s resolutions… A hideous curse? A demented necessity? A fun tradition? A cruel trick we play on our hopes and fears? All of the above? For me, yes. But damn, I love making them. So, as the final hoorah for 2011, here are my New Year’s Resolutions. Ready?

1/ Laugh more. In 2011 I spent too much time beating myself up over failures, being too angry with my family and forgetting my personal motto: to measure success not by how much money is in my bank accout, but by how much I laugh. 2012 is the year of the phenomenal success for me, ie, I plan to laugh my butt off :)

2/ Speaking of butts. My second New Year’s resolution is to get rid of mine. Well most of it. Along with my dimpled thighs, my jelly-belly and my wobbly arms. And yeah, I make this resolution almost every year and fail miserably so I need someone to kick my arse to help me stick to it. Any volunteers? In fact, I’m so serious about this I’m making Wednesday on my blog Weigh-in Wednesday. Oh, and I plan to laugh about the whole thing as I go (see Resolution No. 1)

3/ Enjoy my daughters more. This year I spent too much time splitting my attention to other things when I should have been focussing it on my girls. When your four year old asks you “why do you like your laptop more than me, Mummy?” you know it’s time for a change.

4/ Get a tattoo. I even know what it is. A little green tree frog hanging on to the upper curve of my right butt cheek. The butt cheek that’s going to be firmer and toner and smaller (see Resolution No. 2). Yeah, that butt cheek.

5/ Laugh more. See Resolution No. 1

Happy New Year, Everyone. May 2012 be everything you hope it to be. And to the ladies of International Heat…love you. Lots and lots and lots.

xoxo

New Year’s Resolutions

Posted in Rhian Cahill on December 30, 2011 by RC

New Year’s resolutions aren’t something I’ve ever really done. I seem to make promises to myself throughout the year that never happen so making them at the start of a new year seems silly. The problem is my life never goes to plan. With the number of people in our tribe planning is something we try to do but most of the time something comes up and the ‘plan‘ has to change to fit. Usually it’s me that bends, and up until this year I’ve never had a problem with that. But now the tribe are older, wiser and you would hope in control of their own lives. It appears not. I’m still the one that bends and goes without whenever something ‘happens‘. I’m tired of it. So this year I’m definitely making a New Year’s Resolution and I’m putting it here so that I can come back and remind myself of not only what it is but why I should make sure I follow through.

This year, I’m making time for me. Whether that be writing, watching my favorite show, going out to meet up with friends or taking Mr.C on a date, it doesn’t matter, it’s going in my diary and nothing short of death or fire will make me cancel.

I feel completely selfish making this resolution but I’m determined to make Tribe Cahill a little more even in the having a life balance. Besides, I got HEAPS of movies GC’s for Christmas that I have to use. *grin*

So what’s your resolution for this coming year?

New Years Resolution: Bianca and T

Posted in Bianca D'Arc, T on December 29, 2011 by ebookaddict

T’s New Years Resolutions are….

She doesn’t make any!!

She has one firm Resolution for every New Year she doesn’t make any New Years Resolutions therefore she don’t break any New Years Resolutions! Trust her this is the way to go!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

For all you New Years party goers getting ready to put your part faces on in a few day PLEASE be safe and remember A PARTY IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT DESIGNATED DRIVERS!

(and CHAMPAGNE!

-Lila)

Hehehe.

…and from Bianca…

After that, I’m not really sure what to say. LOL! I suppose I have the same resolutions most of you have – lose weight, eat healthier stuff, exercise more, organize my house. Boring, I know. I guess the one thing I would add to that is, I want to write more. I want to really get back into the swing of things in my writing career.

As you may know, I took a break from writing because of my Mom’s illness and subsequent death. She died two days before Christmas in ’09 and it’s been a long road back for me. The holidays kinda suck now, of course, and what used to be my most productive time of the year (October-December) is now the most depressing time because I have all these little sad anniversaries as her cancer got worse and worse.

New Years needs to truly become a turning point for me. I’ve got to get my career, my house, & my life in order, so I suppose I’m going to resolve to do that in 2012. Oh, and start dating more. For a woman who makes her living writing romance novels, there isn’t a whole helluva lot of it in my life right now. That needs to change! LOL.

Of course, if the world ends next December, like the Mayans predicted, then this’ll all be for naught anyway. ;-)

Happy New Year, everybody!!!

New Year’s Resolutions – Anne

Posted in Anne Rainey, Jayne Rylon on December 28, 2011 by Anne Rainey

Anne’s New Year’s Resolution…

The truth is, I don’t usually have resolutions. This year I’m making an exception because I feel like at 44 years old it’s time to commit myself to a few goals. LOL! So, here we go. Personal and professional resolutions.

My personal resolution is simple, yet difficult.

I want to be a better wife. That means that I want to spend more quality time with my husband. Loving each other. I want to spend less time bickering over the little things and more time laughing about them. We’ve been married for 18 years and it can be difficult to keep things running smoothly. But all good things are worth the effort.

My professional resolution is more of a list.

  • I want to write the Blackwater series in a timely manner
  • I want to get on the New York Times Best Seller list.
  • I want to self-publish a romantic suspense series
  • I want to write and submit an erotic romance series to Ellora’s Cave

That’s it. Not hard at all, right? :P
