Guest author–T.C. Blue

It’s Margarita Monday! That’s right. If you’re at home, whip out that blender and get to mixing. If you’re at work, tell the boss I said you could have a cold one—or a few. On second thought… scratch that last one. Less likely to get you fired is if you read Lime Green: Margarita Mondays while at your desk—ebooks are easier to hide ;)

Already read it? Woot! Wasn’t it fabulous?

No clue what I’m talking about? Easily fixed. Here’s the blurb.

A simple noise complaint to Safe Haven Security ends in a broken door when Jeremy misinterprets something he hears coming from inside Troy Ballard’s home. It also starts the two men on a path of high resistance, as neither of them wants a ‘relationship,’ especially not with each other. Their lives are too different.

Unfortunately, their hearts insist on wanting exactly what their minds know to be impossible. With the dubious help of their friends, Jeremy and Troy start to discover that sometimes ‘impossible’ is anything but.

Lime Green: Margarita Mondays actually follows Lemon Yellow: Making Lemonade—another awesome story. No, you don’t need to have read that one to read Lime Green: Margarita Mondays but why deny yourself the pleasure? :D

Today I’m thrilled to welcome author T.C. Blue to the International Heat blog. She answered some burning questions I had. As you’ll be able to tell from the mini-interview we did, I’m a rabid fan. The first T.C. book I read and loved was Matchmen, Ltd. After that one I systematically acquired her entire backlist and now I feel like I’m best buds with all her characters.

On to the inquisition!

1. Is blue your favorite color?

Depends on the day. Sometimes it’s blue, sometimes red, but usually black. Because I’m all morose and gothic and stuff. Can’t you tell?

*gasp* You’re Trent!!

Yes. Yes, I am. Except, you know… female. And not long and lean. And (sadly) not sleeping with a movie star. That you know of, anyway. *snerk*

2. Speedo or swim trunks?

Wetsuit, baybee! Often with strategically placed tears. I’m a rebel like that. Yeah. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. *nods*

3. Eric Northman or Alcide Herveaux?

Jack Skellington.

I had to Google that one. And all I have to say is LMAO!

You had to Google it? Have you never seen ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’? That’s… I can’t even explain how sad that is. *pets*

*hang head in shame* No clue how I’ve survived thus far.

4. Is T.C. your real name or are you like Clark Kent and The Blur? Now that’s a three-way I could get down with.

Heh-heh. I should say something all joke-y here, but I actually get asked about the name a lot. T.C. stands for Tisienne Corana, which doesn’t in any way, shape, or form fit well on book covers. Not if there’s a title to be fit in as well, anyway. And as we all know, I’m prone to wordy titles, so… *shrugs* Also, I use my initials to differentiate a bit between my previous incarnation as a writer of fan fiction and my current position as one who writes original fiction. So I guess the answer is… no. But T.C. is close enough to make no nevermind. I usually go by Tis, aside from book covers, though. *hee*

5. So, Tis… (I feel like we’re friends now. hehe) if you were stranded on a desert island, which of your character couples would you bring and do you think they would be up for some m/m/f action? Wait…never mind…I want to be on that island. You can stay home.

*snorts* Bring a vid-cam. Chances of getting some play are… *ponders* Never mind. Go for it. Let me know what happens.

5. Speaking of three-ways…is Ben’s story a three-way? (Psst. See what I did? Total snuck that one in there.)

Yes. You’re very sly. I would have completely missed it. *rolls eyes* And I could tell you, but then I’d have to deal with all the death-threats for being spoilery, so… guess you’ll have to wait ’til ‘Life Changes Everything’ releases in November. (*hee* NOW who’s the sly one? :P )

6. I’m a scientist in real life and I firmly believe in research and its merits. My rigorous research on your secondary characters (I won’t bore you with the statistics) indicated stories are needed for the following ASAP:

Lex (majority cited The One that Stayed-bottom of page 36)

Rory and Matthew (could you have made those two any more intriguing?!)

Riley (data shows that he’s gay but doesn’t know it yet)

Randy, Pauly and James (nuff said)

Numbers don’t lie. Whatcha gonna do?

For the record, statistics don’t bore me, but I’m not the sort to make you dig up the reams and reams of paperwork involved, just to show me the query-trends. *grins* And I’ll even try to address the mentioned areas of concern. (Was that sufficiently wordy? I can try harder, if you like. :P ) So, in order…

Lex. Poor, poor Lex. He’s been lurking around in the back of my brain, you know. Like he wants his own HEA (or at least HFN) but doesn’t want to push me, just in case I make it as difficult for him as things have been for some of his friends. *grins* I’m fairly sure there’s going to be a story for him, though. Just as soon as I find his title.

Rory and Matthew. *grins* Intriguing? Really? Because I always thought they were just your ordinary, run of the mill, sort-of-psychic something-or-others. (This is a very avoid-y way of saying they snuck into the Conventions series from an as-yet-unfinished story of the paranormal-mystery variety. It may be finished someday, but no promises or guarantees as to when. So there. I’m not ashamed. *hee*)

Riley. Heh-heh. But Riley’s straight! Just ask him and he’ll tell you so! Repeatedly. *nod nod* Though he does spend an awful lot of time with gay guys. And looking at gay guys. And checking out their asses. *ponders* Oh. My. God! Riley might not be entirely straight! How could I have missed that? (Keep an eye out for the next story in the Fruit Basket series, tentatively titled ‘Mandarin Orange: Sweet and Sour’, coming sometime next year from Torquere. :P )

Randy, Pauly and James… aren’t likely to have their own story, but they’re definitely enjoying themselves. And who knows? It could happen, someday. Just not TOday. *snerk*

Woohoo! Most of this makes me happy. The last one, not so much. After consultation with interested parties, we agree that the story of Randy, Paul and James before they were three has a guaranteed audience. I’m seeing a screenplay, movie rights, nationwide billboards… This could be huge! For the love of Jack, woman, make it right. *sob*

*arches brow* I said ‘maybe,’ didn’t I? That’s as promise-y as I get, considering the many, many works in progress already on my list. :P

Whew! There’s hope.

For more info about T.C. and her books, check out her website. K. Turning over to Tis now. I heard mention of a contest, :D

*laughs* Yes. Yes, you did. And it’s an easy one, too. (This is in no way because I’m lazy. Swear.)

On offer is one .pdf copy of ‘Lime Green: Margarita Mondays’ or anything else of mine that’s currently in release. The full lists of my available books can be found by following these links to my author pages:

Torquere Press: http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=205&zenid=8b9e98038ebb71a8fe7010219920867a&main_page=index

The terms of the contest: Everyone who comments here will be entered in a random drawing, the winner of which will be awarded the prize! *does a little dance* Contest open overnight. Winner announced tomorrow morning.

NON-contest related, I’ll be wandering around YaoiCon later this month and would love to see those who might also be there. Here’s a hint as to where I’ll likely be spending much of my time: There are glasses. And booze. And hopefully pretty boys in bow ties and not much else.

Oh, wait. That last part is probably jus wishful thinking. But the glasses and booze are a given. *hee*

Thanks to J.R. and all of you who’ve stopped by. It’s amazing that you’ve let me into your world, even a little!

  2. I LOVE your Gentlemen series TC! LOVE IT!!!! And this questions and answers are great!!! :)

    • Thanks so much! *grins* And sorry for the long delay in responding. RL has been treating me like a redheaded stepchild. Heh.

It really does make me very happy that you’ve been enjoying the FGC books. They’re something of a departure for me, considering their super-spy grey-ops theme. I’m hoping to have the third book finished soon with an eye to it being released by next summer (or summer in the U.S. really).

      Thanks for commenting! :)

  3. I’m a Margarita girl and I can tie a bow tie if the boys need some help with that! Please enter me in the drawing. :P

    • *laughs* Well, some of my boys always need help with bow ties. And maragritas can be lovely, when made well. LOL

      Thanks for playing! :)

  4. Since I am home, I’m definitely able to party. However, all I have is wine. But I can definitely get happy drinking that. I love the sound of the new books and would love for them to find a new home here with me.

    • Teasing? *arches brow* No… not teasing, exactly. I’m just not sure how his story’s going to work out. :P
