Holiday bliss!

Posted in Rhian Cahill on December 30, 2009 by RC

Right now I’m hopefully lying on a towel by the water in the sun enjoying a cool drink. If not I’m locked inside our holiday van with Mini-stud (netbook) madly writing or reading. Yep, I survived moving hell and am safe in Oz once more. Managed to catch up with Jess at the Sydney writers lunch before Christmas but didn’t get any where near enough time with her plus I think I was suffering from a little jet-lag, even Jess mentioned how quiet I was.

Christmas was great. The Tribe were thrilled to see all the family and the family can’t get over the change in The Kid! Boy has he grown this last year. We still aren’t in our house yet so we’re living out of suitcases at my in-laws but things are getting organized and I’m sure Feb 1st will come around real quick. Then the unpacking begins. Ugh!

I hope you all ring in the New Year in style. I know I will be. Cheers!

Going All In Releases at Samhain

Posted in Jess Dee on December 30, 2009 by Jess Dee

I am thrilled to announce that my new novella, Going All In, is now available at Samhain Publishing.

This is the story that started out as a 10k m/f/m menage, and before I knew it grew into a longer novella, with m/m/f loving.

It’s a quick easy read, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

:)

GOING ALL IN: The Blurb

The higher the stakes, the harder they fall—in love.

Julia Savage’s weekly poker games are tearing her apart. She’s in love with two of her fellow card players, and much as she’d like to pick and confess her true feelings to one man, she won’t. Not if it means risking the love of the other.

Hunter Miles has wanted Julia for four months, and he’s about to deal a hand she couldn’t see coming. He’s determined to give her a New Year’s Eve celebration she never expected. He’s going to seduce her—in front of his friend and rival for her affections, Jay Baxter. But Jay’s not willing to lay down his cards. He’s going after Julia too, and he’s not above bluffing to get what he wants. Either way, one of them is going to win her over.

Unless they change the rules of the game. If they double up, there’s a chance they can split the pot…

Warning: This book contains two hunky heroes, a heroine worth betting on, sizzling hot three-way action (m/f/m and m/m/f), a whole lot of unexpected fireworks and a New Year’s Eve to remember.

Going All In: An Excerpt

(Be warned…very hot!)

“Do you have any condoms?”

Hunter gave her a final kiss on her clit and drew away. “A box full,” he said as he stood. “In my bedroom.”

Before she could head in that direction, Hunter kissed her. A full, open-mouthed kiss that made her dizzy. He tasted of man and of Hunter and of sex—her sex, and she drank from him thirstily. Then she turned to Jay and kissed him in the same fashion. Her head swam, her body burned and desire tugged her between her legs, making her moan into Jay’s mouth.

“Bedroom. Now!” Hunter demanded, ending the kiss.

She followed Hunter through the house, watching as he stripped his clothes off along the way. His shirt came first, followed by his jeans and boxers, which he kicked off as he reached his bedroom door. Julia stopped to take in the firmness of his extraordinary butt, and noticed a faded, thin scar that ran along one cheek.

Jay walked into her from behind, distracting her.

The feel of hot flesh against her bare bottom told her he’d pulled off his own pants on the way. His rigid cock poked her spine, leaving tiny drops of moisture on her back.

“Boys,” she said in a throaty voice. “I need you to fuck me. Now.”

Jay lifted her up from behind and carried her to Hunter’s bed. He laid her down and knelt on the floor in front of her.

“My turn,” he said, and dipped his head to lick her pussy.

“Hunter!” Julia groaned in desperation as sensation hit her. “Damn it, get that condom on, or it’ll be over before you’re even inside me.” Shoot, she was close. So bloody close she wasn’t sure she could hold on.

Hunter turned to her. His proud erection stood thick between his legs. It was slightly curved and sheathed with a condom. In his hand he held a tube of lubricant and a second condom.

On second thought, she would hold on. She’d do anything to get that cock inside her.

“It’s on, Four Eyes,” he assured her and sat on the bed. “You chose well. I’m an ass man,” he said, and proceeded to coat his condom with lube. “Nothing I’d like more than to explore your hot back end with my dick.”

Julia clenched her ass, wanting nothing more than for Hunter to fuck her from behind.

Jay released her clit from his heavenly mouth. “And I am more than happy to take possession of your pussy, Jules. Permanently.” His eyes shone with heated promise.

Okay, there was something she wanted more than Hunter fucking her from behind: Hunter fucking her from behind while Jay fucked her from the front.

(Well, I warned you it was hot!)

Today I’m highlighting releases from four of my authors at Freya’s Bower and Wild Child Publishing. The stories range from sweet to spicy—not in that order though. Lol

Have a look :)

Kae Wiley has always been a good girl—with dreams of getting in front of the camera. But on her path to that ever elusive anchorwoman position, she takes a detour. Sex toy, anyone?

Station manager, James Remington has been burned by love before. Now the eternal playboy, he’s vowed never again to let a woman under his skin. But with a woman like Kae, playing around might not be enough.

Juliet Darling needs a fresh start. With the end to her disastrous marriage, she hopes that moving to the village of Chandler’s Gate—where she landed a job as a practice nurse—will give her and her small son Charlie just such an opportunity. Her ex-husband, however, doesn’t plan on allowing them to escape his clutches quite so easily.

Dr. Neil Forrest finds his quiet and orderly life disrupted both at work, with the arrival of Juliet and her new ideas about what a practice nurse should do, and at home, where the accident-prone Juliet and her son have moved into the house next door. Neil has developed deep-rooted insecurities about life and relationships since the premature death of his wife. The loss has left him clinging to his precious routines, in an attempt to protect himself from further pain.

It takes a very special little boy, an out of control barbecue and a terrible accident before Neil and Juliet can finally get together, and Neil can make Juliet his very own darling nurse.

Jackson County, Wisconsin was a tranquil area of the globe, until murder struck the small community. The local sheriff investigates and begins unearthing things he never imagined possible.

An immortal shape-shifter…

Nightwalker, Corin von Vadim, inhabits a secluded sprawling estate in the town of Hixton. An enigmatic loner, he hides the fact that during the daylight hours, he rests within the dark confines of the earth, only rising after twilight–a routine he has carried out for five hundred years. Unnerved by the arrival of a sinister newcomer, with the help of two allies–a mortal and an otherworldly daywalker—he is forced to protect his home from invading evil.

She is mortal…

Angelique Jaffler–a dark-haired beauty drawn to the night—has captured Corin’s heart. But can she accept his supernatural world where shape-shifiting immortals are not myth, but reality? And when she becomes a pawn in the sordid game of a rival, will Corin be able to save her from the monster’s deadly clutches? Beware the setting of the sun and listen for the call of the wild wolf crying out its warning of immortal presence. You see, this is their time—after the fall of night.

Friday Eve Snippet

Posted in Jambrea Jo Jones with tags , on December 24, 2009 by jambrea

This snippet is from Wishing Star. It started in a yahoo group, I can’t remember the entire conversation, but Patric sent through a picture of his dream man and we were trying to come up with names for him. Someone came up with Gabriel and I said…Patric, I’m writing you and Gabriel a story!  So here is my start and I can’t wait to finish.

Chapter One

Patric Mitchell drove his car into the night, down a winding dirt road.  He slammed his brakes at a stop sign that appeared out of nowhere.

He looked around the deserted area and saw nothing but the inky blackness surrounding him.

“Who the hell put a stop sign here?” The sound of his voice reverberated inside the car. He sighed and put his forehead on the steering wheel.

Where was he going? He wished he knew. The only thought running through his head when he’d started this journey was to get away from his brothers and sisters. He hated the holidays. He should have skipped out again this year, but his parents were getting up there in age and he wanted to spend as much time with them as he could.

Leave it to Pauly to fuck things up with his constant pestering. Just once, couldn’t his brother leave his sex life out of the conversation? He didn’t flaunt the fact that he liked men, at least not to his family. They accepted him as he was, but it was something they didn’t talk about. Well, unless his dick head brother brought it up.

The car sputtered under him, then stopped.

“Shit, god damn, fuck! Why me?” he hit the dashboard with his fist. He tried to start it again, to no avail.

At least he had his cell phone.  He raised his head off the steering wheel and stared at the stop sign, he reached into his pocket for his cell. Patric flipped it open and pushed the on button. No bars. Damn it.

Patric unbuckled himself, got out of the car and slammed the door shut. What was he going to do now? He was miles from anywhere, no one knew where he went and it was ten below zero and dropping. He could count his blessing that the snow held off. He leaned against his car and looked up into the sky.

“So beautiful.” The stars weren’t this bright in the city. Hell, half the time you couldn’t see them for all the smog. Tonight they twinkled and seemed to wink at him. Too bad he’d left his paints at home. Maybe he had some paper and a pencil in the car. Nothing else was going his way tonight, maybe this would. He opened the door and rummaged around until he found a small notebook and a pencil.

He looked around to make sure he was still alone. The night only held the sound of the wind whipping through the trees. Patric walked to the front of his car and sat down, leaning against the bumper. He settled into a comfortable position and looked up again.

“Hey, a shooting star.” He had no idea why he spoke out loud; maybe he wasn’t comfortable with the silence. He decided to make a wish. “I wish I could find my special someone. And if he happens to look like Gabriel I would be happy. Hell, I’d be happier if it was Gabriel.”

Patric may have started the drive lying to himself, but now that he was alone, he let the truth out. He didn’t hold it against Pauly for being an ass. The real reason he’d bolted was how alone he felt. Whenever his brother brought up his non existence sex life, a part of his heart broke.

His crush; okay his obsession, with the man who lived across the street really needed to stop. Maybe he’d go out after the holidays. He wouldn’t find someone to be with if he didn’t go looking.

“Okay, enough wishing. It will never happen.” Patric went back to drawing. His feelings went into his picture and it looked sad and lonely, the deserted road with the lone stop sign swallowed into the dark abyss of the night.

Wait, swallowed? Patric shook his head. What was happening? The world seemed to be collapsing in on itself. He crab crawled his way around to the car door, trying to get to his feet using the handle to pull himself up, but he wasn’t fast enough.

Shit, what a way to go. His world turned black.

* * * *

“Hey, man. Wake up.”

“Who—what.”  Patric was confused. Why was he wet?

“Oh, I know you. Aren’t you the guy who lives across the street? Why are you sleeping out here in the snow? On Christmas Eve?”

Out in the snow? The last thing he remembered was staring up into the night and something happened. He knew it was important, if he could just recall what it was. Why was it so dark, weren’t the stars out earlier?

Shit, your eyes are shut, stupid.

He opened them to find the pair of brown eyes he’d been dreaming about for months, staring down at him. How did Gabriel get into the woods?

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

“I live here.” The man pointed his thumb behind him.

Patric looked in that direction to see Gabriel’s house. He didn’t understand. He must have looked confused.

“Hey, you okay?” Gabriel put his hand out to help him up. “I’m Gabriel Vega by the way. I don’t know if we’ve officially met.”

“I-I know who you are. I’m Patric Mitchell.” Patric let Gabriel help him up. “How long have I been here?”

“I’m not sure, I looked out the window just a bit ago and saw your car, but you don’t usually park there. Then I happened to notice you sitting there. What were you doing?”

How could he explain that he was up in the woods, sketching? How long ago was that? Patric looked at his watch. Ten minutes. It had only been ten minutes ago. How was that possible? The vortex thing. Or whatever it was. That had to be it, but how? He shook his head.

“I don’t think you’d believe me if I told you. Do you see a sketch book around here?” Patric was starting to get cold. Maybe a stiff drink would help. Shit, he should probably call his family.

Merry Christmas!
