I cooked a chicken!
Oh my goodness I did it! I actually roasted a chicken. This might not sound like much but for me it’s the height of domesticity. I’ve been inviting our neighbor over for dinner for months now, and I have yet to pull of a meal where everything was cooked and ready on time.
Tonight I did it.
I did roast chicken, roast veggies, green beans, new potatoes, salad and peach cobbler.
Now the only problem is that I cooked the chicken using a “chicken brick” which the neighbor lent me after my first disastrous attempts at chicken roasting. I need to find and purchase a chicken brick to have in the states.
What does this have to do with writing/reading/editing?
I have no idea because I haven’t done any of those things in 48 hours I was so stressed out about this dinner.
Well, at least I’m honest!

Good for you! Cooking a chicken is HARD. I can’t stand to touch raw meat, so i make my husband do it.
Or I buy one already cooked from the deli section. What? No one cares! They’re not there for the food, they’re there for the company!
