Book Bounty
It’s not quite a week since I returned from my 8 week trip of the US and I’m still going through stuff and getting organized in ‘real’ life again. I thought I’d share my book bounty, now you have to remember I was on strict control as I could only have a check-in bag of 50 pounds plus whatever I could get away with in my carry-on. I did *ducks head* load the pockets of my jacket with books and I did send some home with Hubby when he went plus I mailed a box as well. Sounds like a lot doesn’t it? Well when I line them all up on my bed (just to look at) there isn’t that many, in fact I’m sure people left RT and Lori Foster’s weekend with a truck-load more than I did and believe me I would have if I could have. I’m not ashamed to say I have a book habit, I’m just glad that Hubby doesn’t know how bad it is anymore (he thinks I’ve gotten better) because a lot of the books I buy are in ebooks. *snicker* Nothing better than sneaking some books past him. Anyway let’s see what I’ve got.
The unsigned books
There’s a couple of author friends in there, and Mackenzie McKade signed a bookmark at RT for me to stick in the book of hers I had sent to Mari’s house last year. It was a bugger I didn’t go to Mari’s first but I’m cool with the bookmark, A Tall Dark Cowboy is the first EVA ebook I read!
Signed books
See not so many. *grin* You’ll see the two Nora Roberts books, they were bought at Nora’s bookshop in Boonsboro. Mari and I took a day to explore Nora’s world and would you believe we missed her by ONE day!! Yep, she’d popped in the day before, the only consulation was that she’d signed loads of books and we had a great selection to pick from. The small pile on the right is my good friend Nicole Austin. It’s not her whole collection of print books but I’m getting closer. LOL I even picked up the one that has part of my Fallen Angel Reviews review printed in the front. Speaking of my reviewing, there were loads of books with snippets of my reviews in them! Winter’s Daughter by J.C. Wilder is another one. So you could say I’m already in print. LOL
Now I’ve just gotta find somewhere to put them…..

That really isn’t a lot! BUT…it is more then I came home with and I drove. heehee
Of course…you had eight weeks I only had that weekend.
That is SO cool about Nora! I would love to get one of her JD Robb books signed.

I wish I could go to one of the conventions. I will come home with so many books but where would I put them.
